Coin Jar Contest Results and New Bikes

Jenny and I had a fun day today. We woke up late in the morning, had orange danish together. She went to tutor while I had fun programming (I've been on such a roll with programming lately). When she got back, we took our big coin jar to Wells Fargo to have it counted. Major thanks to the nice teller on duty who had to lift our jar over the counter and then pour the entire jar out into the machine, which we both wish we could have seen in action. Out of all of the coins in the jar, only one was a foreign coin and didn't count.

So are you ready for the results? Jenny and I were both thinking around $250-275. Click 'read more' for the results! Drumroll please...

Coin Jar Contest

Coin Jar 2008-04-26So we've been saving our spare coins in a fairly large jar for the past two years or so. Today I finally filled it up. Most of it is actually quarters and golden dollars, so it's a pretty decent chunk of change. On Wednesday I'll probably take it to Wells Fargo to get it counted and deposited so we can start again!

So here's our little contest for you all: how much do you think is in the jar? The closest to the actual total gets some kind of cool prize that I haven't thought of yet. You have until the end of April (4/30) to guess, so register for an account (if you haven't already) and get guessing in the comments below! For a more detailed view, you can click on the image of the coin jar.
